I started this page with the intention of posting photo sets from different places. It has since expanded into a creative journal of some sort. Before the pandemic started, I traveled frequently for my job. Most of that was purely business. I would usually fly out first thing in the morning, finish my business, and then take the last flight home. It didn’t leave me with many opportunities to take photos or to visit local points of interest. That kind of travel can also be very exhausting and mentally taxing. But one positive thing it did was inspire me to visit more places. As I child I had traveled up and down the western United States. I’ve been fortunate now to have traveled around the entire U.S. and even abroad. The photos you see here were all taken by me and are mostly from personal trips, where I was able to visit places I wanted to visit, and where I wasn’t operating on a tight schedule.
Some of my interests include visiting museums and coffee shops and walking around parks and looking at architecture. I also like visiting places with interesting histories and places that are walkable. I keep a notebook with passages, quotes and interesting tidbits from books that I am reading. You will see a few of them reproduced and scattered throughout here.
I hope you find a few interesting things here. Like walking through a city, there are interesting things hidden in seemingly plain sight. You just have to not be afraid to look for them.
