Here are three buildings in downtown Dallas that are unique and full of charm.
I was walking around and taking pictures in downtown Dallas last Saturday and I stopped at the Comerica Tower located on N. Ervay Street between Main Street and Elm Street. It is one of many iconic buildings downtown and it stands out amongst the other buildings because of its hemispherical shape at the very top. It was designed by Philip Johnson and John Burgee and it was completed in 1987.

Directly across the Comerica Tower on N. Ervay Street sits the Wilson Building, which was completed in 1904. It is patterned on the Palais Garnier in Paris, which is immediately noticeable in the shapes of the windows and the exterior ornamentations.

Also on N. Ervay Street is the Mercantile National Bank Building, which is located between Main Street and Commerce Street. It was completed in 1943 and it was designed by architect Walter W. Ahlschlager. Some of the building’s iconic features are its four-sided clock tower and weather spire.
